*Students may take up to 12 hours of lesson. May be split into two – 30 minute lessons per week. Lessons start May 12. Students may take a lesson Saturday or Sunday each week in May and any time during the week June – July. *Pairs share lesson time.

Learn about the great game of golf with your child. Lessons include putting, chipping, pitching and full swing including set up. Sign up with your child or grandchild ages 6-9 years old. All students must provide their own clubs.

Future Champions Junior Golf Program
This PGA program progressively teaches core skills utilized in the game of golf. It is an individualized program taught in a group setting. Students move through levels as they attain new skill sets. Students are encouraged to learn at a rate that is comfortable for them. Also included is information on Fitness and Nutrition, Sportsmanship, Etiquette and Rules. The Future Champions program will help youth learn to play golf and have fun for a lifetime. Lessons are individualized so it is not necessary for students to attend lessons sequentially. All students must provide their own clubs.

Future Champions Curriculum Overview:

The PGA Junior Future Champions golf instruction Minnesota program progressively teaches core skills utilized in the game of golf. It is an individualized program taught in a group setting. Students move through levels (see below**) as they attain new skill sets. Students are encouraged to learn at a rate that is comfortable for them. Also included is information on Fitness and Nutrition, Sportsmanship, Etiquette and Rules. The Future Champions program will help youth learn to play golf and have fun for a lifetime. Lessons are individualized so it is not necessary for students to attend lessons sequentially.

Monday and/or Thursday June 3/6th—through July 25. (Class not held on July 4th, students advised to attend July 1).

Ages 6 – 8 12:00 – 1:00

Ages 9 – 17 10:30 – 11:45

Students may attend either Mondays or Thursday or both Monday and Thursday. Students may attend as few as four sessions or as many as sixteen sessions. Sessions are focused on individual development. One on one to each student within a group setting.

Four Sessions $125.00 or Eight Sessions $235.00*

*If your son or daughter is interested in golf as a competitive sport or simply loves playing golf we encourage them to attend all eight weeks of lessons.

Level 1 Objectives • Develop an understanding of the sport of golf • Learn fundamental movement and motor skills and link them together into the golf swing • Use ball-striking games such as baseball and hockey to develop hand-eye coordination • Establish essential safety and etiquette
Level 2 Objectives • Develop fundamental golf movement skills and teach overall sports skills • Learn scoring, the rules of golf and the process of playing a round of golf • Establish target and alignment fundamentals and begin developing proper short-game skills  
Level 3 Objectives • Establish a knowledge base in the mental side of the sport • Develop full swing, short game and putting skills to higher level • Incorporate strength, stability and flexibility to improve performance and health • Enhance performance by learning course management skills, STAT tracking, keeping a golf journal and advancing to national competitions • Golf and Skills Challenges
Level 4 Objectives • Speeds up and strengthens the learning process. • Reach their distance and performance goals • Lower your junior’s scores and make their game more enjoyable. • Determine clubs that optimize on course performance • Build a reliable and effective swing. • Focused drills and effective practice methods • Building shot making skills make chipping, pitching • Build course management skills

The basic golf skills program is designed around having fun and learning basic techniques on the golf course. This class focuses on providing a deeper understanding of the short game and golf swing. Beginning golfers, infrequent golfers and former golfers are encouraged to participate. Lessons include putting, chipping, pitching and full swing including set up. All students must provide their own clubs.

Mastering putting, chipping and pitching is the quickest way to lower your scores. PGA Master Instructor Dave Cahill will share some secret fundamentals of these essential techniques. Please bring your putter and all pitching wedges and sand wedges to each class. Practice balls are included. All students must provide their own clubs.

Learn how to hit your longest and most powerful drives by applying few key fundamentals to your stroke. PGA Master Instructor Dave Cahill will be your guide to longer drives during three one hour lessons. Bring your Driver and golf glove. Practice balls included.
