Stabilize Your Putting Stroke to Make Putts

Hi, Dave Cahill here with Cahill Golf. I am at the Cimarron Golf Resort in beautiful Palm Springs, CA. Today I am going to talk about a very easy way to stabilize your putting stroke so you can make more of those four, five and six footers.
A very simple thing at address, we just need to do two things. Move the ball a bit more forward in the stance toward the target side foot, perhaps just at the inside of the foot. Or maybe, some will prefer the ball be even with the foot. And then, take the butt end of the club and move it so it is ahead of the ball. You will notice this stabilizes the left wrist by making it flat. I prefer to make it a little beyond flat, having the left wrist just a bit bowed. From this position the left wrist is very firm and stable. Now, we can take a nice smooth stroke back and through without any instability with the wrist.
