Set Hand Position Correctly for Pitching Success

Dave Cahill here with Cahill Golf. I am at the Cimarron Golf Resort in Palm Springs, CA. Today I am going to talk about a fundamental of pitching success. Always have the butt end of the club even with the inside of your forward thigh. For right handed golfers the butt end of the club will align with the inside of the left thigh. No matter where the ball is in your stance, whether it is center, forward or back in your stance, always have the butt end of the club even with the inside of the target side thigh. This position will ensure good contact with the pitch.

PGA Instructor Mike Cahill and PGA Master Instructor Dave Cahill are here to help you play better and enjoy the game more. Please come see us in Palm Springs CA for golf lessons or visit us for a Palm Springs, CA or Las Vegas, NV Golf School.
