Golf Swing too Inside?

Golf Back Swing Too Inside Video

Hi Dave Cahill here in sunny Palm springs California at Cahill golf Schools in Palm springs and yo can see the beautiful mountains in the background. Today we are going to be talking with bringing the club too much inside the plane line on the back swing. There are two like results which typically happen neither one of them much fun at all for your golf game. So notice on the back swing i am taking the golf club back far inside the plane line. The golf club should intilally travel up the plane line. Notice I have taken the club way inside the plane line. This is a common error I frequently see at our Palm spring golf Schools. You might think this an ok thing to do what happens is going to swing around way around and get on the other side of the plane line. Usually on the forward swing the club then swings back around and under the plane line again. Watch the entire sequence. The golf shot this produces is usually one too much from the inside out too the right or hooking right to left or even worse a shank. The other thing that can happen with an inside back swing is that the club crosses over the plane line at the top and then instead of swing down and around it remains to far over the right shoulder. Now we have a classic over the top golf shot either pulling to the left, slicing, or shanking. This is a another common proble we see at our Las Vegas Golf Schools. Alight so instead of taking the club too inside we want to take it back along the plane line right in front of us and then back. Watch where the club is now right on plane. When the club shaft is parallel to the ground it is just in front of my hands. And then I turn my torso from there.

Dave Cahill of Cahill Golf Schools in Palm Springs and Las Vegas Golf Shools can help you learn a perfect on plane back swing for golf or any other faults you golf swing may have.
