Easier Accurate Pitching Method

Hi Mike Cahill here with Cahill Golf. Today I am going to talk about an easier accurate pitching method we teach in our golf schools. First thing I am going to talk about is the set up. We usually use a standard grip, which I am showing here. Keep the wrist stiff. You can hold the grip firmly, especially between the thumbs and forefingers. Remember the wrists do not hinge.

I use a stance that is a bit wider than average. Most my weight is on the left side. Hands are ahead of the ball.

Setup in Review
• Wrist stiff – wrists do not hinge
• Grip firmly
• Stance wider
• Weight is on the left side
• Hands are ahead of the ball

The swing motion is a normal or standard motion back and then just a little move forward and through the ball. The slight forward motion keeps the hands ahead of the ball at impact. Once again, for an easy pitching method; firm hands, firm wrist, wider stance, and weight forward and then on the way through a little move forward and through the ball.
