Align the Left Side for Powerful Consistent Golf Shots

Hi, I am Dave Cahill here with Cahill Golf at the Cimarron Golf Resort in Palm Springs, CA. Today I am going to talk about creating power and consistency in your golf swing through correct alignment of the target side. One of the key factors is to maintain balance and alignment over the left (target) side, foot, ankle, knee and hip.
Here is how, take your backswing and transition over to the left or target side. Now, have your weight exactly over the middle of your left foot, lead foot. Your weight should balance over the knee and hip. As the hips rotate maintain the position of balance right over the left foot, ankle, knee and hip while turning all the way through. Do not allow the hips to slide. Do not duck the left hip back and behind. Instead, maintain pressure and balance over the left side, left foot, ankle, knee and hip.
