The PGA Master Professional program is the highest educational level in The PGA. The program was established in 1969 as a path for PGA golf professionals to develop and maintain the highest degree of excellence for themselves and their operations. Only about 1 percent of PGA pros complete the Master Professional Program.

One of the requirements for earning Master Professional status is the submission of an extensive “Masters Thesis”. Professionals desiring Master Professional status also must be active PGA members for a minimum of eight years in addition to completing an apprenticeship and golf business program through the PGA.

The Master Professional or MP credential behind a PGA Professionals’ name means a golf professional is seeking excellence in the performance of their job to grow, teach, and manage the game of golf. Learn with Master Professional Dave Cahill at his Palm Springs Golf Schools.

All lessons are given by PGA Master Pro Dave Cahill and PGA Pro Mike Cahill. Lesson are 1 on 1 unless otherwise noted and based on your goals. All lesson include a high speed video analysis with our specialized high speed cameras as well as utilizing our V1 performance video software. At the end of the lesson you will go away with a video lesson review of your swing allowing you to review your lesson at home.

About the Cimarron Palm Springs Golf School Vacation

Escape the cold and dreary to the warmth and sunshine of Palm Springs. School takes place at scenic Cimarron Golf Resort set in the desert of Southern California where the San Jacinto Mountains create panoramic views over 36 holes of spectacular golf. Cimarron’s courses, highlighted by creative contours, brilliant white steep-faced bunkers and impeccable playing conditions, mix elements of traditional desert golf with the links styling reminiscent of old Scotland.

Excellent play requires expert advice. PGA Master Professional Dave Cahill will be your golf instructor at Cimarron Golf Resort*. The traditional or “classic” way of learning golf was to play the course with the pro and learn under real conditions. The Cimarron Golf School includes on course playing lessons with your instructor. The afternoon playing lessons allow you to take what you learn each morning on the range and practice area to the course. Dave Cahill or Mike Cahill will accompany you for 18 of your 36holes of play.
